Art Outside

We are looking for artistically inspired interpretations of the challenges, the hopes, and the fears of our planet, now and in the future. Specifically artists that work with natural and recycled material or have environmental messages incorporated in their art. On top of that we are searching for you, the installation artists, the sculptors, the theater majors, the noise makers, the sound artists, the video projectionists, the street performers. We want live art, conscious art, dark art, digital art..…. You get the point.

There is no fee to submit your work. If you are accepted to Art Outside, then there is a show fee of: $20.00

To submit your work to “Irresistible Revolution” please send the following material- via e-mail, snail mail, or (if you must) in person:

If you have a concept for an installation in the forest, we need:

1) A description of your idea.
2) A concept drawing/images of past work/a website. Note: drawings can be a ruff sketch, nothing too fancy.
3) Approximate amount of space needed (i.e. I need a 10 by 10 flat area of ground to cover with coal…” or “I would like to use a tree to hang 75 furry little…”)
4) An artist statement. Tell us about yourself!

If you have an existing piece(s) of work:

1) 5-10 images/concept drawings of work - OR - A website with your work
2) Approximate amount of space needed (i.e. I have 10 sculptures that would need about 20 sq feet.

To Submit Via e-mail:

1. Send all ‘Irresistible Revolution” submissions to: art@artoutside.org*
*With a subject line such as “Attn: Revolution and the Medium with which you work.” A good example would be: “Attn: Revolution / Installation”

2. Include either 5-10 low resolution titled .jpegs (72-120 dpi), and/or a website URL that shows your work (all image titles should include your name).

The submission deadline is Wednesday, March 10th, 2007.
We will respond to you immediately upon receiving your submission.
If you are accepted, we will then contact you with further instructions.
